Josh Gottry Joins MACP for Summer Music Camp

For nearly 30 years, Josh Gottry has been working with the next generation of percussionists around the Phoenix metropolitan area as a pre-collegiate and university level educator. Mr. Gottry has held teaching positions at institutions including Arizona Christian University, Arizona State University, Chandler-Gilbert Community College, Chandler Preparatory Academy, Grand Canyon University, and South Mountain Community College, has performed with the Flagstaff Symphony, Symphony of the Southwest, West Valley Symphony Orchestra, and Salt River Brass, and presented clinics at multiple state PAS days of percussion, the Arizona Music Educators Association Conference, and the Percussive Arts Society International Convention. Mr. Gottry is also an ASCAP award-winning composer with over 100 published works which have been performed at the Midwest Clinic, Music for All National Festival, the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, and on many college and university, high school, and middle school campuses.

Mr. Gottry joins MACP to for their fifth annual Summer Chamber Music Camp where students will have opportunity to work with and learn about a wide range of percussion instruments, perform chamber music for percussion and mixed ensembles, and enjoy topics classes covering a variety of interests related to chamber music.
